What is Colored BOPP Film?
Colored BOPP film or Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene is one of the versions of BOPP films. Colored BOPP film does not significantly differ from its original version and can achieve the desired color simply by adding various colored resins.
Types of Colored BOPP Film
Transparent Colored Film: These clear films are produced for packaging food, labels, printing, and packaging products that require a glossy appearance.
Matte Colored Film: These films have a matte surface and are used for luxury packaging or food packaged in boxes, such as luxury or video goods.
Metallized Colored Film: This type of film has a thin aluminum layer and is used in the packaging of snacks, moisture and oxygen-sensitive food, as well as cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging.

Features of Colored BOPP Film
Excellent Printability and Vibrant Color Effect
The smoothed and non-porous surface of BOPP allows for high-resolution printing (rotogravure and flexography), resulting in clear designs and bright colors.
High Resistance to Moisture and Thermal Penetration
These films effectively protect goods from moisture, grease, UV rays, and gas penetration; therefore, they are suitable for long-term storage.
High Tensile Strength and Mechanical Resistance
Biaxial stretching enhances resistance to tearing, abrasion, and pressure, making the film stable during handling and transportation.
Lightweight and Cost-effective
With a high strength-to-weight ratio, it reduces raw material consumption, shipping costs, and energy use, along with recyclability.
Applications of Colored BOPP Film
Food Packaging
Clear or metallized films enhance the visual appeal of the product and preserve its freshness—popular in the packaging of chips, chocolate, bread, fruits, and snacks.
Labeling and Product Tags
High printability and mechanical strength make these films a superior choice for labels resistant to wear, moisture, and UV.
Industrial Packaging
Including coverings for packaging fabric, electronics, and industrial parts—due to their resistant performance and high versatility.
Thermal Lamination and Print Protection
Thermal lamination film is used to protect the printed surface in the production of posters, books, graphic cards, and gift packaging.
Adhesives and Tapes
The durable nature of BOPP film makes it an ideal choice for adhesive tape bases and other adhesive products.
